Now Underway: Mural Landscaping
“Hubbard Trail: The Path That Built Watseka” is up at 203 E. Walnut St., and the next step is landscaping the space around it. For $250, you can sponsor a tree, and your name (or your business’s name) will be permanently listed on a recognition sign installed at the mural site in Spring 2027. Every sponsorship goes toward beautifying and landscaping the mural site, and we’re hoping to get the trees planted before winter, so please send in your sponsorship soon!
Watseka Community Renewal is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preservation, revitalization, and placemaking in the greater Watseka area.
We preserve and restore historic structures in the greater Watseka area, protecting them from neglect and incompatible development.
We support initiatives that strengthen the area's economic vitality, livability, and cultural identity through placemaking, small business support, and community-driven projects.
Through a pilot project, we are exploring ways to support local businesses by offering small grants and resources for storefront improvements, marketing, and operational growth.
